ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

As most of our activities are based on Sustainable Development Goals, we worked to ensure environment sustainability as it is one of the important goals. We used to conduct environmental awareness among the school children and among the SHG members. 122 children from CSI School, Karunkuzhi participated in the Environment Awareness Campaign. 186 people from 6 Panchayats in Chengalpattu district.

TREE SAMPLING PLANTATION

Planted 5000 saplings in 6 Panchayat villages such as Pudhupattu, Soorai, Malaipalayam, Andavakkam, Sithamangalam, Adhivasinagar and Sathamai with the funding support from Sun pharmaceuticals and the cooperation from Block Development Office (BDO), Maduranthakam. This programme was successfully implemented involving Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) workers.

Increase in micro-credit amount

Initially, we enabled the target women to access micro-credit to the amount ranging from INR 5,000 ~10,000, which was enhanced upto INR 50,000
